Curriculum and Activities
Knowing what your child is learning helps you support them throughout their education.
In this section you can find out how public education works and the range of learning opportunities offered for students to challenge their thinking, and make the most of their unique talents.
Primary learning includes whole-class, group and individual activities designed to develop an inquiring mind and teach basic learning skills needed for schooling and later life.
We provide a relevant, meaningful and individualised curriculum for all students across the Pre-School to Year 2 Range. Our curriculum programs are underpinned by the belief that children should be supported in developing their emerging interests and talents.
To achieve this, we provide a broad range of programs which ensure that our students possess the knowledge, skills and social values necessary to achieve success within their life long learning journey.
We monitor each student's progress and provide additional learning support if this is required. Our school uses learning programs and specialised staff where needed and we work in partnership with parents and carers to assist students who have special learning needs.
Our school is committed to working with Aboriginal parents and community members in developing personalised plans for our Aboriginal students.
Gifted students are those whose potential is distinctly above average in one or more of the following areas of ability at school - intellectual, creative, social and physical.
Our class programs are differentiated to provide these students with learning opportunities to extend and apply their knowledge at a targeted level.
